EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY | ECALA www.ecala.org | Position: PD Coordinator | Term: 21 hours per week (Part-time) | About: Edmonton Community Adult Learning Association (ECALA) is a granting council which provides funding and support to non-profit organizations that offer non-credit, part-time adult foundational learning and literacy initiatives. ECALA provides funding and support based on the mandate of Alberta Advanced Education Community Adult Learning Program (CALP) Grant. Would you like to create and design resources? Do you have experience in coordinating workshops for educators and volunteers?

 The PD Coordinator part-time position will report to the Executive Director and collaborate with the PD Specialist to meet the learning and training needs of educators and volunteers who facilitate learning opportunities for adult foundational learners in Alberta. The Professional Development (PD) Coordinator will support the PD Specialist with the day-to-day administration, coordination, and implementation of ECALA’s Grant Recipient’s Learning and Training Plan. Visit www.ecala.org to review the Position Description.

 Key qualifications: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Forms, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, etc.); Experience and proficiency in using Mail Chimp, WordPress, CANVA, and other online content creation platforms; Experience and accuracy in data entry, database management, drafting correspondence, website posts, blogs, and producing e-newsletters; Experience in using web-based virtual meeting software including Zoom, Teams and Google Meets’; Demonstrate a clear understanding of adult literacy and foundational life skill training methodology and theory; Diploma or course work in related field, such as administration, adult education, professional development, or education; An equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered.
