Edmonton Interfaith Centre Statement | Palestine - Israel Conflict.

πŸ•Š OUR PRAYER | The Edmonton Interfaith Centre for Education and Action mourns the loss of life and suffering resulting from the escalating spiral of violence between Palestinian armed groups and Israeli forces.

🌿 We condemn the violent attacks on civilians and join calls for an immediate ceasefire & a search for solutions that will bring peace with justice in Palestine and Israel. As people of faith, we are committed to a vision of a world where the dignity and human rights of all people are respected and protected.

🌿 We know that in Palestine and Israel, a land that is home and sacred to multiple faith traditions, people are working together across lines of faith, to find non-violent means to a just peace, with an end to occupation and ongoing threats to the safety and security of all people in the region. We commit to listen to their voices and contribute our work of interfaith education and action to their calls for international support.

🌿 We pray for the victims of these attacks and their families; for global leaders to work for an end to the violence and a just and lasting peace; and for all religious leaders, civil society organizations, and people of faith and good will to add their voices to urgent cries for justice and peace. –
